Rusagro’s pig farm contracts foot-and-mouth disease
MOSCOW, Jan 11 (PRIME) -- An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease has hit a farm of Russian agricultural holding RusAgro in the Far East, but it will not cause significant losses, the company said in a statement on Friday.
“The Rusagro group of companies confirms a case of foot-and-mouth virus contraction by animals at one of the pig farms of the company in the Primorsky Region on January 11, 2019,” the company said.
Rusagro also said that 481 animals were culled, and quarantine was imposed.
